This is getting EXCITING!!!


Although we are still 6 months away from our Crop and Cruise HAWAII ultimate vacation, we are starting to "FILL UP" on a few different accounts!!!!!

First, we are starting to get some AMAZING SPONSORS coming on board!!!!  Watch for announcements of these coming soon!!!!  Our featured instructors (Jill Hildebrand, Christy Riopel and Allison Orthner) are getting SUPER EXCITED preparing some crafty goodness and photo fun!!!


Second... we are also filling up on ATTENDEES for each event!!!  We currently have 50 attendees registered for the LAND event and 50 for the CRUISE (some are doing both)!!!!  We do have limited space available (especially the scrapbooking packages!!) so be sure to register SOON to avoid disappointment!!!!

Get to know Allison Orthner


Allison Orthner has enthusiastically organized and hosted every Crop and Cruise event since 2007!!  Her happy place is to be teaching her best photography tips and tricks to anyone with a camera... especially in hot tropical locations!!
  


Her "gadget guy" husband is her partner in crime behind the scenes and accompanies the group as the official videographer.  He can often be heard saying, "No I don't know where Allison is, but can I help you with something?"


Outside of Crop and Cruise, Allison keeps very busy with a wide variety of activities including TV segments on scrapbooking and photography and writing for Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine including her Lights! Camera! Action! article in each issue.


Her work has been widely published in Canadian Scrapbooker, Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers and Scrapbooks Etc. including 12 front covers.





Allison also organizes and hosts numerous scrapbooking events in Canada and keeps her photography skills honed by operating a photography business where she specializes in unique portraits of newborns, children, grads and families!  Capturing a special moment or event makes her heart sing... it is her true passion!!




While on the Crop and Cruise LAND and CRUISE events, Allison will be your personal photographer for the group, guide you through countless photo ops, host Photo Field Trip Excursions and whisper in your ear all week to help YOU capture amazing photos with YOUR camera!! She specializes in being as practical as possible and only as technical as necessary!!!

Get To Know Christy Riopel


CHRISTY RIOPEL is also back for her 3rd time teaching on Crop and Cruise where she is known for taking you on an artistic journey like no other!!  From cards and layouts to mixed media and home decor, Christy does it all!!


She not only enlightens you with more tricks and techniques than you thought existed, but thoroughly entertains you as she pushes the boundaries of creativity!  Christy’s background in art and design mean her classes leave you inspired, infused with potential and simply wanting more!!



As a contributing writer for Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine and co-owner for MondayNightClass.ca, Christy’s art has been widely published and enjoyed across the country including numerous appearances on Breakfast Television!!


She has also taught internationally at CHA, Scrapfest, Camp Croppin' and The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnivals and for companies like Basic Grey, Westcott, myStampBOX and Upsy Daisy!!   Her favourite part is meeting people who share a love for creating.


Besides crafting, Christy has become a quick study in photography and has some stunning shots from a recent trip to China!





Christy lives in Calgary where she is mom to two beautiful girls, wife to the most patient man in the world and caretaker to two dachshunds who all together give her much joy and plenty of antics to scrapbook!!

Get to know Jill Hildebrand



JILL HILDEBRAND is back by popular demand for her 3rd Crop and Cruise!!  This smalltown, farm-girl is not only profoundly creative, but comes with a contagious personality and high energy to boot!! 



She is a widely published scrapbook artist who has taught at numerous events throughout Canada and USA and is best known for her colourful and edgy layouts.  In Jill’s classes she encourages scrappers to get CRAZY and become excited about the products in front of them believing there are “No Mistakes – Only Unexpected Creations” in the Life Art we are creating. 



Jill is currently a design team member for myStampBOX and Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker.   Her work has been featured in Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine and her keen eye in photography portrays a wildly fun passion for life and will most definitely rub off on you in Hawaii!!  





As the wife of a grain farmer in Manitoba, Jill stays busy being a SAHM to three children and working as a substitute teacher.  In any spare time she happens to find, she will get “lost” in home decorating, travelling and watching NBA games with her family… oh and folding laundry!!!!
